Well, I had my school registration on the day of the last day of my summer school, this Thursday. It all went well, because I was one of the first people to register, I had the choice of who I wanted to be my teacher for various classes, though I didn’t know any so I just ‘any is fine’. Some people supposedly said that those, or most of them, were good teachers, though I don’t have the slightest idea. She told me my schedule I had request first, with Fundamentals of Arts and French 3 Honors in it, though I asked her if Computer Science AP was in fact being taught this year, since, when I request it in the beginning, they said no one was teaching it, but later on people started telling me that it was in fact being taught and that I should sign up for it. To my surprise, she said it was available and I told her I’d definately like to take that over Fundamentals of Art, since I could take that easily during the summer next year or during my last year of high school. She thought that was a great idea, and that’ll be some easy points for me.
I have a premonition that it’ll be boring, because the teacher doesn’t seem like she has much experience on the subject since it looks like she primarily teaches Economics, AP Economics, Civics, and some other stuff, and it looks like she teaches Computer Science AP just to ‘fill in the gap’, or take the job that nobody else took. This is common in schools, teachers often just learn what they must to teach the subject though they go no further, and often don’t have experience whatsoever, the demoralizing part is that they sometimes grade you down for what they think is wrong, what they learned was wrong from the book they learned, the 10 year old book.
Anyways, here’s my schedule for my 11th, Junior, year of High School. Both semesters are the same so I’ll just list each class once:
» Period 1: French III Honors - Lahham
» Period 2: English III Honors - Crane
» Period 3: Modern American History - Salmons
» Period 4: Chemistry - Carr
» Period 5: Computer Science AP - Wan
» Period 6: Trigonometry - Kuo
The schedule looks a bit okay for me since it’s close to what I usually have; English and French in the morning, Math at the afternoon, and Computer Science AP towards the end is cool because it gives me more energy for the last period. Anyways, that’s my schedule. I didn’t pick up the things I need like the books, ID, and what not, because I didn’t have time, so I’ll have to go next week, I better get them before school starts because last year I had to get them on the first day (Well, first day for me, I didn’t go to school on the first day, so technically it’s the second), and it was horrible. It was after school, crazy hot, and just plain boring.
