Well, I have many things I need but here are some of computer parts I’m in dire need of.

Hard Drive: I need a new hard drive, as you know what happened with my slave drive. I’d like to get a pretty big one, make it worth the purchase, though I don’t want to get to 80 dollars or more, here are some I’m looking at (Courtesy of newegg):

» Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 160GB: This one seems pretty cool. It has 160 GB of space even though the true size is 149 so I’ve heard, and I like it because it has five stars and it seems to run very cool, I don’t need something running hot due to previous experience. I wanted to get one with a higher capacity but I guess this will suffice, I can use the 40GB one (My current primary) as my linux drive and the new one as my windows drive, the primary one.

Power Supply: I also need a power supply because I’m pretty sure that some of the problems have to do with the power supply. I’ve been using the power supply that came with the case for as long as I’ve been using the computer which has been like three years, so I’m guessing I definately need a new one. The one I currently have is 420 Watts, so I’m thinking of getting a 500 one or so, not too expensive just something that does the job.

» Sunbeam PSU-BKS-480-US: This one might seem pretty cheap but it’s what I can afford and it’s got a good rating, so I think it should do.

Memory - RAM: I’m definately going to get this, I’m going to get a 512MB stick, the same brand and model as the other two I already have.

» GeIL Value 512MB 184-Pin DDR: I’ve had these sticks since I was born. I first got one of them a while back when it first debuted, then I like it, and got another one a year after, and now I’m back here, getting my third one, all in the same motherboard :’)

» CORSAIR ValueSelect 512MB DDR 400 (PC 3200) CAS Latency 2.5: Well, the GeIL one I wanted seems to be out of stock, it isn’t restocked soon then I guess I’ll just get this one. It seems pretty fast and as good as the GeIL one, I just hope there aren’t any problems.

I might even think of ‘getting a new computer’, in quotes because I wouldn’t be getting everything new, I’d be re-using some things like RAM, the HD, the Video Card, and taking out the processor and Motherboard and getting a new HD, I’ll see if I can afford it.
