I just saw this article where a guy managed to easily listen in on BlueTooth devices (The ones people have been getting, the ‘hands-free’ ones so that they can talk while driving). He only listened in on when the device is not being used, that is, when the person isn’t calling someone, I figure for legal reasons. It’s also supposedly possible to inject audio into the BlueTooth device. He did all this using a flat, compact antenna which he put in his backpack. He faced away from a StarBuck’s with the backpack on his back facing the Starbucks, on the other side of the street. He then controlled the whole procedure with his Nokia phone using some Linux programs. All in all it was pretty cool. He heard some guy ordering some stuff at StarBuck’s. Good stuff.
