Workout Log: 4-16-8 and 4-17-8

Just realized I forgot to write one yesterday heh. Anyways, let’s see…Well I just realized that I’ve been doing sit ups the wrong way and so I feel pretty stupid. Like you’re supposed to pull yourself up with the abs. When you think about it it seems so obvious but then like everyone I know does the same thing, pull themselves up with their feet as if their butt was a joint if that makes any sense. Seanethan was all telling me about how most people do it wrong so I decided to investigate, then I found this video:

But yeah now I’m just doing the REAL sit ups. No wonder the other kind seemed so easy that I even did them with weights, whatever at least now I know and I can really feel the burn there, I’m still able to do the same amount and all just not as quick as before obviously.

Sean also told me to start doing push ups in the morning so I started doing that yesterday and I did it again too. I only do like 10 after I shower in the morning so it’s more of a wake up than a work out obviously, and also to kinda get me warmed up, kinda.

That’s pretty much it. I haven’t listened to the usual metal/rock (More recently Avenged Sevenfold) lately I guess I kind of got tired of it, I mean I still love it but after a while when that’s all I listen to it gets old. So instead I’ve been listening to Dubmood, a random song from some guy called Snayk called ‘Growing on Me‘, and finishing it off with some Goo Goo Dolls. I’ve been listening to Goo Goo Dolls a lot, just zoning out and stuff, like in the morning and all. Right now I’m listening to them too, just finished Better Days and am now listening to Without You Here, they’re awesome.

Oh yeah and I finally was able to get AIM to show what song I am currently listening to in iTunes with a program called AMIP it was pretty confusing at first cause the program is really sophisticated, instead of focusing on one specific thing for example being an AIM plugin, it decides to be a server (Sending messages through sockets and all that…overkill if you ask me but I guess it’s for extensability) and has several plugins for various applications like MSN, Yahoo IM, AIM, etc. and works on many players not just iTunes, so I guess that’s a good idea the way it was written.

I haven’t posted music in a while now, I’ll probably post some soon, maybe tomorrow.

iLirix

Announcement: I will continue development on this project soon, starting from scratch. I will write a GUI for it and implement Album Artwork support, as well as make it more flexible and allow it to be used on general MP3 libraries (As well as other audio formats with basic tag support), no more emphasis on iPod/iTunes.

Update: The one method I was using before simply ran through the music folders in the iPod, and then read the Artist and Song Name from each file and then wrote the fetched lyrics to the tag. This didn’t seem to work because it apparently required that I still view the lyrics from within iTunes for it to take effect. So I decided to rewrite it, it now uses iTunes to do the work, so it will only work on Windows with iTunes running, but it works flawlessly now.

I recently discovered for the first time that you could view lyrics while you’re listening to songs on your iPod. The only problem is that you have to get the lyrics yourself. Now, that’s fine if you just want to get lyrics for a couple of songs, but when you want to get lyrics for all or most of your songs (I have 1550, and I’m sure most people have way more), that becomes a problem. That’s what I made iLirix for. Continue reading ‘iLirix’
