Well, if you already read the post on how my slave drive died, you know what I was thinking about reformatting. In the post I finally said I wasn’t going to, but I can’t live with these irritations constantly bugging me, plus, I’m having weird problems with the hard drive lately, I’m sure it’s windows though, since this drive is pretty new. Hopefully I can get some money to buy a new one, hopefully a 160 or 200 gigger, but I don’t know. Anyways, in the mean time, I will be reformatting. There will be huge penalty costs because of loss of space, I won’t be able to install any games if I want to run a a nice clean compact drive, so I’ll have to abandon those luxuries.
I will install all my essential applications and then Check Out the latest revision of the T.I.P. Source Code, and start re-buliding where I left off. I will also be getting the vanilla source or icculus engine and working off of that so that I could test some of the things in my new Quake III Modding book, since it modifies certain things that were stripped out of T.I.P. Hopefully all goes well in this reformat, and certainly my drive stops playing games with me. If it doesn’t, I’ll be forced to think that it’s either my motherboard or my power supply that’s playing around, of course before deducing this I’d have to test the drive on my brothers computer and see if it’s a drive independent issue.
I also want to reformat so I could continue learning Blender 3D, I’m learning from the Blender 3D: Noob to Pro wikibook, which is great, I don’t know if it’s the guide that’s great, or the fact that I’m understanding more about the graphics world, though I’m sure it’s a combination of both.
I hope all goes well, later.
