For those of you who were experiencing problems with FrostWire connections, there has been a ‘fix’. The problem was that you’d start up FrostWire and it’d just stay there forever, without connecting. Well, it turns out that the gnutella.net file, the list of networks, is outdated. Here is the new one:
gnutella.net
uhc2.limewire.com:20181,,1162480626164,,,en,0
krill.shacknet.nu:20095,,1162480628374,,,en,1
uhc.udp-host-cache.com:9999,,1162480630012,,,en,0
kisama.ath.cx:8080,,1162480628074,,,en,1
uhc3.limewire.com:51180,,1162480626905,,,en,0
gwc.jooz.net:8010,,1162480627623,,,en,0
cache.kicks-ass.net:8000,,1162480627277,,,en,1
To fix this, close FrostWire and do the following:
In Linux/*nix:
Edit the ~/.frostwire/gnutella.net file and remove EVERYTHING, and then enter the lines above into it. Then restart FrostWire, and everything should be fine. Ex. sudo gedit ~/.frostwire/gnutella.net
Windows
Edit the C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\FrostWire\gnutella.net file (Make sure you can view hidden files and folders. Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > View or something, then check the view hidden files and folders). Open it with notepad or something, I don’t suggest notepad though because of the messed up newlines, get EmEditor if you want, the free version. Anyways, delete everything in the file, and put in the new text.
Mac
Edit the /user/library/preferences/frostwire/gnutella.net file. Delete EVERYTHING In it, and put in the new text.
Once you’re done doing this, start up FrostWire (Or restart/close it and open it if you were dumb enough to disobey me) and everything should be fine. If it’s not, it could be because of a firewall, router-firewall, wrong java version/not activated (linux), and many other reasons. Hopefully this solves your problem, though.

it didnt work 4 me…
but thnx any way man
