Workout Log: 9-5-08

Well I was hoping to have worked out much more regularly since the last time I did which was on Sunday, but I didn’t until today so I decided to take my already-proved approach at getting back into the drill: start slow and regularly. So today I only did one circuit, and I’ll slowly increment it as I see fit, but for the time being I’m going to continue just doing one circuit (One good circuit haha) regularly, to try to get my body used to it again.

Got my new mouse today, the Razer Diamondback 3G. It’s not that much different than the other one other than that it’s covered at the top as opposed to being transparent. I gave my old one to my brother, it still has that sort of jerky problem with the scroll wheel but it’s still better than what he used to have. The last thing I want to get is a Popcorn Hour A-100, which is a frickin awesome little device which I’ll put on top of my DVD Player and run a long ethernet cord and hook it up to my router. Then it’ll be able to see all my movies, shows, music, etc. that’s in my shared folders, kind of like an HTPC, except it streams and supports way more formats than anything I’ve ever heard of (Even Matroska!), all from an intuitive menu (Like that of Windows Media Center). Definitely worth it considering it’s even cheaper than most other ‘competetitors’ at $179 USD (In quotes because this thing blows anything out of the water). The newer model is the A-110, but there’s not much of an impressive upgrade which I myself can benefit from.

I’m also working on getting things ready to make my first application for a job, which I really hope I can get for many reasons, one being it’s conveniently located in between my home and my college, not to mention they’re awesome (And host this site ;) ).

Workout Log: 8-31-8

Okay, I haven’t done this in forever, and I really want to get back to doing it regularly so if all goes well I should be doing it regularly again. I’m also going to try and practice guitar regularly again, as well as try and learn Portuguese, hah. I just did the typical, except instead of the usual 3 sets I did 2 and I did one less plate, cause again, I haven’t done this in about two months :/ I hope to begin running again :)

Razer Diamondback 3G

By the way, I ordered a much needed Seagate Barracuda 1 Terrabyte Hard Drive with 32 MB Cache SATA 3.0 Gb/s. I was running out of space and I found this at a pretty good price so I took the opportunity and bought it. I also ordered a new Razer Diamondback 3G because my old Razer Diamondback Plasma ‘Limited’ Edition…well, I was just in need of an upgrade because I had that mouse for 3-4 years. It still works great for the most part so I’m going to give it to my brother, who uses an olldddd wireless mouse which eats batteries like no tomorrow. Hopefully they should arrive by this coming week. I’m also really looking forward to getting a new phone (One in particular) because I’ve had the same boring flip phone for like 3-4 years, I just hope I qualify for this particular phone, and since I’m not certain I will, I don’t want to get my hopes up. Let’s just say that part of the name of the mouse I got is in part of the name of the phone I want to get (As if that won’t give it away).

I also started college at Cal State Fullerton on Monday, so far it seems really nice. I like how most of my professors don’t really care if you go to class, are late, etc., not because I’m planning on doing it but it gives you a good feeling knowing that you’re going and doing the work because you want rather than because you’re being forced to, as was the case for the past 12 years. My classes are History to the 15th Century, Intro. to Human Communications, Math Structures, and Programming Concepts. However, I took a placement test for Computer Science (Which is what I’m majoring in) and passed so I can take the most advanced class I possibly can, being Data Structures, however the class was supposedly full so I’ve been wait listed. I still have been going to class to Data Structures though in case I do get in so that I don’t miss anything, and man it really is what I think I should be at. Programming Concepts is just AP Comp Sci all over again not to mention it’s elementary stuff which I learned when I was like 12 or 13 (Arrays, etc.). I really do hope I get a spot in the Data Structures class. There’s always a seat available when I attend the class so I really hope I will be able to get in.

Club Life

Also, I’ve been listening to tons of trance lately, in fact, it’s all I’ve been listening for about a month and a half. It’s so frickin awesome. Not that I don’t like rock or anything, I guess I was just tired of it. Trance feels so relaxed and fresh, I can listen to it while in any mood and it’s so frickin awesome for just zoning out and for going to sleep. The main reason for which I started getting into trance is because I got into a few wonderful trance trackers where there’s tons of trance music. I already have RSS Auto Downloading set up for Tiësto’s Club Life, which is like his own radio show or something which airs on Fridays I believe, in the Netherlands. It contains tons of awesome trance songs, rarely any of his actual songs.

Workout Log: 8-4-8

Haven’t done this in ages. I eventually got myself all motivated to do it again, and began today using the same methods as before, by starting off slowly. I jogged 0.9 miles and then walked the last 0.3. I’m surprised I was able to, I thought I was gonna start giving in pretty quickly but nah I maintained. Then after, I ate an apple lool.

Workout Log: 6-9-8

Today I only did two circuits, I haven’t worked out in a while and I’m trying to ‘break in’ to begin running again. I did the first one the normal order then the second one in reverse. I’m beginning to do weighted push ups again because I think they help with the form. Today I listened to Yngwie Malmsteen I’ve had some of his music for a while but I hadn’t listened to it. It’s like neo-classical music or something, like imagine classical music but with electric guitar and distortion and really fast solos, it’s actually pretty crazy stuff I’m already hooked.
