Hahaha…wow, just wow. Okay, so in Enemy Territory I play in this, honestly, cool server called .:VC:. Old School USA, in fact, it’s the only server I play in. It’s really cool, it has the ETPub mod, which allows double jumping (Though, justly, it’s moderated, to avoid people from beating the game almost instantly by jumping over objectives such as walls), it has just the right speed, nice ping, it has qualities from NoQuarter Mod (Don’t have to raise/lower switch in rail gun), and another thing I love is that things like med packs from medics or ammo packs from field ops are unlimited and they can be thrown. So yeah, it’s a pretty cool server. The catch?
Yeah, there’s a catch. In fact, I didn’t discover it until one week into playing there, and I’ve been playing there ever since I got back on ET, which was like two months ago now I believe. Well, anyways, it’s a botting server. So certain aimbots are allowed. I didn’t discover this until a week after playing there, just imagine. Either that means I was really good (Doubt it, hadn’t played ET in forever), they really suck, or the fact that they only allow certain aimbots pays off. So yeah, I didn’t realize it was a botting server until later. I mean, when you join, the MOTD says “Only Old School bots allowed” (I guess that’s where it gets the title from, “Old School…Bots”). Well, since in my entire experience playing games, any type, cheating is so strongly prosecuted, so I obviously ignored that and figured it meant something else, specific to ET. You know, how games always create a type of culture with their own vocabulary and all of that, that’s what I thought, especially since I was pretty much new to ET.
So I found out that it was a botting server, but I loved the server so much and since I couldn’t really tell anyways since it wasn’t the type of botting where like, you go around a corner and you get headshotted, probably due to the fact that it’s not only shooting like CS, but you have to worry about other things like mortars, flame throwers, grenades, etc., I decided to stay. After all, I had already tried to look for another server just like it without the hacking to no avail.
The only things that ticked me off about the server was how anyone who joined the clan automatically got admin, which obviously lead to admin abuse. It wasn’t frequent or anything, else I would’ve left, but the occasional ‘clan noob’ would get all happy he got his admin powers and would do retarded things like slap someone if they wouldn’t do something or something. However, noob or no noob, it’s almost human nature to want to have an edge over others that are apparently ‘owning’ you. For example, if I had admin powers, and someone constantly owning me everywhichway, I would obviously make up any excuse to use my admin powers against him, it’s natural. After all, I’m the one with the power, why should I tolerate this guy I hardly know? That also happens often, I’ve noticed, to some players who are just minding their own business. These things though, are nothing to really worry about because it’s normal in most of the servers in pretty much any game, what’s worse is 12 year old admins though haha, which also apparently seem to be present at that server, not all of them, probably one or two. The nice thing though is that when someone that is ‘greater’ usually makes them stop and ‘punishes’ them.
Well anyways, I’m not the only person that plays there and doesn’t cheat. There are supposedly others, and I believe them. So basically, only some bots are allowed, and it’s mentioned on their site, I’ve never looked because I don’t care cause I don’t bot anyways. Apparently some things aren’t allowed, so called ‘auto bots’. Now, having no experience in cheating whatsoever, I have no idea what this is. But assuming an aimbot, from what I’ve learned, aims for you, it leaves little room for an ‘auto bot’. But the guy that accused me said I had ‘enemy recognition’ (What the heck does that mean??), he went on to say that I seemed to know where people were etc., so I assume an ‘auto bot’ is something where it tells you where people are and other information like that, aside from being an aimbot. Hahahaha that’s when I caught on, he was saying I was hacking because I knew where people were and was shooting at their heads etc. I get this often, in many games. It’s a stupid thing to accuse too, because it’s literally accusing someone for being better than you and I’ll explain later. However, as a side note, doesn’t anyone think this whole thing is ironic? I have never cheated, yet I play in a cheating server, and I’m accused of cheating…wow.
Okay, so I mentioned earlier that this accusation is stupid because it’s basically like accusing someone for being better than you. To tell you the truth, I actually do seem to know where people are and things like that, but only to a certain point. I mean, I’m not walking down a hall and then right away know that someone’s around the corner, that’s stupid. But what if, the most obvious, you heard them? Or if you saw shots going in the opposite direction? Someone had had to shoot those bullets. Those are purely logical reasons for knowing, but they usually aren’t my means of knowing. I usually analyze all paths someone can take, and by playing I learn which ones are most popular in a particular game (They often change from game to game, though the ‘core’ ones stay the same). So if I know, from having played and died and watched, that people often go through a particular hall, and I’m walking some place and I throw a nade in there, or I walk in ready to shoot, isn’t that logical? Of course it is, it’s no special ability or anything. However, because it’s often ignored by people (Most just spawn and kill, ignoring their environment), it can be considered a ’sixth sense’ in gaming. At least that’s how I’ve always thought of it. it’s not so much a sense though, else I’d be able to know there’s a person on the other side of that wall, it’s not so much of a sense because it involves taking chances.
I often play randomly, taking chances at certain opportunities. I’ll be walking down a road and then randomly run to the right and follow a tunnel, because I know sometimes people go through there, not often, but sometimes. If there indeed happens to be someone there and I kill them, I can understand why it would seem like hacking to a spectator. He would see me randomly run to a tunnel and kill someone, how else would I have known that there was someone there? I wouldn’t have had, and I didn’t. In fact, it’s more usual for me to not have found someone there, but sometimes when my chances are great, I find someone there, and then I do another random act and it turns up positive as well, what more evidence does the spectator need?
Well, exactly, it’s sometimes tough to prove otherwise, that I’m not cheating. In fact, it used to happen often with me back when I used to play Instagib in JKII: Jedi Outcast, and with more reason, since it’s Instagib, a one shot kill game. Except that game has ‘built-in hacks’, such as Force Seeing (Equivalent of wall hack), which lets you see through walls to see if people are behind them, and also lets you matrix dodge shots, and Force Speed (Equivalent of speed hack) which lets you run fast, and many more. But these are built into the game. So most of these force powers last only for a little while and take up a specific amount of force ‘points’. You have a set amount, say if I use Force Speed level 3, it takes half of those away, until I stop using it or it runs out, then my force points will slowly regenerate. So what I would do was never use any other force power other than force speed, and those of you that used to play with me will remember, I did this because I loved to run around fast and it let me use speed once to get to the flag and once again to return it to my base. Well, I would only use force speed, pair that up with the ’sixth sense’ I mentioned above, and with more reason people would think I was cheating. But people soon got used to me playing and after various stand offs, they agreed that I wasn’t cheating. Seriously, there would be times where it was me vs. 4 people, me winning by a long shot, and you’d figure it was just one of those slow days right? When not many people go into the server? Nope, there was about 8 people spectating me, all regulars of the server and well known, it was obvious that they wanted to see how I was doing it. Not one of them said anything after that game, and many other occasions. And when noobs would accuse me (Not that they’re noobs cause they accuse me, but it’s normal, for a newcommer to accuse me since they’re not used to that type of game and don’t know me), regulars would just brush them off like ‘no he’s not don’t worry about it’, haha.
Now, I’m not saying I’m such a good player and all that that people think I cheat, that was in JKII, in ET, comon…I just barely got back on the game. I’m a lot better than I used to be, but I’m not anything extraordinary, it’s just my different style of playing like I mentioned above, and coincidence that people who accuse me see me during a spree in which chances are great for me.
By the way, I didn’t even know the guy that banned me, I know who it was, but I don’t know know him. I know all of the VC members that play in that server and all of them are chill with me except this one guy called Jinn but that’s cause one time I was playing with a friend who ignores the chatting messages thing, was just new to the game, and didn’t even know what an aimbot was. So this Jinn guy asks him what aimbot he uses, which is typical in that server, they ask people so that they can make sure it’s an aimbot that’s allowed. Well, my friend didn’t respond cause he ignores the messages and he doesn’t even know what an aimbot is to begin with even if he had read that message. So I respond saying “He doesn’t use one, blah blah blah” I basically told him what I told you right now. Then he gets all pissed cause he’s like “I didn’t ask you, can’t he speak?” then I told him what I told you again, and since then he’s never liked me, but I could care less. Almost everyone in the server, VC member or not, are pretty cool with me, I never even talk to that Jinn guy so I don’t know why he doesn’t like me, if it’s only for that one time then he needs to get a life haha. In fact, many VC members have asked me to join their clan, but I just don’t like the idea of joining a cheating clan, prefer blue/white over their red/white color scheme for names, and don’t like clans anymore, period. I still like them though they’re cool.
Anyways, after he banned me I posted in their forums (They have a “Banned/Complaints” forum haha where people that got banned can ask wth happened or w/e) asking what the heck happened, and if he thought I was cheating and recorded what I did, to show others so they could have a say at it. He replied saying I was using an auto bot or whatever, then I told him what my strategy was for that game so he’d hopefully understand how it was that I ‘knew’ where people were. He private messaged me pretty much saying “Sorry for any inconvenience, I did record it, and I was wrong. I’m unbanning you, don’t tell anyone.”. It actually seemed more nervous and quick, with many errors:
ok im gonna unban you but this is not allowed DON’T TELL ANYONE!!!!!!! i did make a demo and i didn’t c bot sometimes but sometimes i did soo that means ur not….. sorry for any inconvinence
I didn’t know unbanning wasn’t allowed, many people have been unbanned. And the fact that he said ‘dont tell anyone’ and he private messaged me instead of replying to the thread I made on the forum leads me to believe he didn’t want anyone knowing he messed up. Whatever, I’m supposedly unbanned now so who cares. I haven’t gone back in the server cause I’ve been doing other things.

WTF?????? wat is ur prob its a private message for a reason.
It doesn’t matter anymore dude, this was old, nobody from VC came to this site anyways, it’s over with. It just seemed you were being kind of weird with that, not to tell anyone cause you couldn’t unban me? KIWI said people are able to unban people who they banned themselves, it’s all good.
that sux, they auto banned u as usual…
